Dynamic braking resistors (DBRs) are used to absorb the energy generated when stopping electric motors. They must be able to absorb this energy and cool down quickly between stops.
Cressall's standard range of high capacity DBR's for regenerative braking is low cost, easy to specify, quick to install and with ratings to suit inverter drives of any power. Our wide range of resistor technologies means that we can select the most technically appropriate and cost-effective resistor design for any application, whether continuous, intermittent or infrequent.
Units can be supplied either as open banks for mounting into existing enclosures or as totally enclosed units housed in IP20 steel enclosures complete with terminals and knock outs
